Eleanor designs and creates bold, edgy, sculptural jewellery working with silver and gold, often with the inclusion of unique stones sourced from around the globe. Many of the pieces reflect her love of Roman and medieval jewellery – her preference is for stones cut with old techniques set in chunky, hand-hewn settings. Designs are inspired by the materials themselves – the shape of a stone, the hammered effects on the metal. She doesn’t favour overly finished, polished metal – she likes it to speak for itself using texture and contrast. Processes used are construction, piercing, forming, wax carving and casting.
